Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
The qualification is nationally recognised and awarded through OFQUAL regulated awarding body ProQual that will allow you to qualify as an Assessor.
The qualification will allow you to assess learners in their place of work as it is based around assessing of the occupational competence in the work environment. The course will provide you with the correct skills and knowledge to evaluate vocational competencies on a wide number of qualifications covering apprenticeships and NVQ’s.

How is the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment assessed?
The Centre uses the e-portfolio system Quals Direct that will manage all of the evidences and assessments.
The candidate must be working in the role of an Assessor with a company in order to meet the assessment criteria and have a minimum of 2 learners that you can assess. You will need a qualified Assessor to countersign your work and the decisions made. They will act as an expert witness and confirm that you have assessed the learners in a fair and consistent manner.
The candidate will complete 3 mandatory units.
You will be need to provide product evidence to demonstrate your ability to plan, assess and provide feedback on your learner’s performance.
All the assessment evidence’s provided must come from a real assessment situation and simulations are not allowed.

The total cost for this qualification including registration and certification is £600.00
How long does the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment last for?
Once you have gained this qualification, you will not have to do the same one again.

Having achieved this Level 3 Award provides opportunities to progress on to the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
