A Level 6 NVQ will allow you to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Black Card
A NVQ Level 6 Diploma in a Construction Management qualification is for experienced managers working within the construction industry. The Level 6 qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for candidates working in a management role within the construction industry. Depending upon which Level 6 management qualification that you choose, candidates can follow different pathways within the NVQ to suit their job role.

How is the Level 6 NVQ assessed?
The Centre uses the e-portfolio system Quals Direct that will manage all of the evidences and assessments.
The candidate will complete mandatory and optional units depending upon which Construction Management qualification they choose.
Candidates will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods and evidences will be gathered by both the candidate and assessor through observations, written/ verbal questions, witness statements, photographic evidences, videos, professional discussions and various supporting site documentary evidence.
The assessor who is MCIOB accredited, will prove the candidates competency in their management role by observing the candidate carrying out their work relating to the NVQ standards competently and safely.
The assessor will prove the work with the candidate to make sure they have met the requirements for each of the units being achieved within the NVQ Level 6 qualification.
How much does the Level 6 NVQ cost?
The total cost for the NVQ including registration and certification is £1,400.00
£700 upfront
£350 midway
£350 prior to completion
Note: The price may vary depending on the candidate's work location
How long does the Level 6 NVQ last for?
Once you have gained your Level 6 NVQ, you will not have to do it again. You will however need to renew your Black CSCS Card every 5 years by passing the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental test for Managers and Professional (HS&E MAP).
