Level 3 NVQ
Overview
A Level 3 NVQ will allow you to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Gold Card.
The NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) allows those who supervise other trades within the construction occupational area to demonstrate and prove their competency. It is a competency led qualification for the construction sector and it is created for those individuals who are skilled and experienced within their trade and are supervising a group of the same skilled site workers.
The Level 3 NVQ also provides opportunities for progression to management qualifications.

How is the Level 3 NVQ assessed?
The Centre uses the e-portfolio system Quals Direct that will manage all of the evidences and assessments.
The candidate will be completing 8 units within the Level 3 NVQ, 6 are mandatory units and 2 optional units.
Candidates will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods and evidences will be gathered by both the candidate and assessor through observations, written/ verbal questions, witness statements, photographic evidences, videos, professional discussions and various supporting site documentary evidence.
The assessor will prove the candidates competency by observing the candidate carrying out their work relating to the NVQ standards competently and safely.
Assessments will be carried out at the candidate’s place of work, without no work being simulated to prove competency.
The assessor will work with the candidate to make sure they have met the requirements for each of the units being achieved within the Level 3 NVQ.
How much does the Level 3 NVQ cost?
The total cost for this NVQ including registration and certification is £1,000.00
£500 upfront
£500 prior to completion
Note: The price may vary depending on the candidate's work location
How long does the Level 3 NVQ last for?
Once you have gained your Level 3 NVQ, you will not have to do it again. You will however need to renew your Gold CSCS Card every 5 years by passing the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.
